Basketball Recap: Jackson-Milton Comes Up Short

Jackson-Milton was the 63-48 winner over McDonald when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Jackson-Milton Bluejays fell 56-49 to the McDonald Blue Devils on Friday.

McDonald's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Drew Zajack, who went 6 of 9 en route to 12 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Zajack a new career-high in field goal percentage (67%). Joey Cappuzzello was another key player, putting up 11 points and five boards.

Jackson-Milton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for McDonald, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 14-5.

Jackson-Milton has already played their next game (against Lowellville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for McDonald, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 60-55 victory against Mineral Ridge on the 8th.
