Baseball Game Preview: Alexander Spartans vs. Southern Tornadoes

The Alexander Spartans will challenge the Southern Tornadoes at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Alexander turned things around against River Valley on Monday. They put the hurt on the Raiders with a sharp 10-4 win.

Meanwhile, Southern was able to grind out a solid victory over Belpre on Monday, taking the game 6-1. The Tornadoes haven't had any issues with the Golden Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Southern's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jett Lisle, who went 1-for-3 with one run. Another was David Kempell, who earned two RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

Southern's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Alexander, their victory bumped their record up to 7-13.
