Softball Recap: Arlington Catholic Comes Up Short

Archbishop Williams hit Arlington Catholic with a seven-run fourth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cougars lost 13-5 to the Bishops. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Bishops recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Trinity Martignetti was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Annie Driscoll, who went 3-for-4 with one run.

Arlington Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Archbishop Williams, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arlington Catholic will venture away from home to challenge Medford at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Archbishop Williams, they will head out to face off against Boston Latin Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
