Greyson Brewer Delivers Best Performance of Season

Greyson Brewer produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Southwestern to the win on Friday. Brewer rushed for 202 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.6 yards per carry, and also caught a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 54 yards.

This year, Brewer has caught 2 touchdowns while averaging 20.8 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 3.78 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 67.22 rushing yards.

Nate Dyer Has Career Rushing Day

Carlinville was led to victory by Nate Dyer, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Dyer rushed for 179 yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

This season, Dyer has run in 4 touchdowns while averaging 85.6 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after eight games last season, he was only averaging 48.88 rushing yards per game.

A Season-Best Effort from Cash Lynch Leads Pana over Staunton/Bunker Hill

The win (which was Pana's fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-1. Lynch and Pana will play host again on Friday to welcome Shelbyville, where kickoff is scheduled at 7:00 p.m.

Ethan Saathoff posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 128 yards on six of 17 attempts.

For the year, Saathoff has averaged 129.4 passing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging two passing yards per game.

Wyatt Kile Makes It Two for Pana

Another Pana player making an appearance on this list is Wyatt Kile. He threw for 167 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 65 yards on only eight carries.

Staunton/Bunker Hill's probably not too fond of Kile given he always seems to get the better of them. When Kile last faced the Bulldogs back in October of 2023, he threw for 176 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 45 yards.
