Basketball Recap: Archbishop Molloy's Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

Archbishop Molloy can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They managed a 50-45 win over the St. John's Prep Red Storm. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Stanners' disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 358th, while the Red Storm are ranked 142nd).

Archbishop Molloy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7-1. As for St. John's Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5-1.

Archbishop Molloy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 54-49 victory against West Catholic on the 18th. As for St. John's Prep, they will be playing at home against St. Anthony's at 9:30 a.m. on January 25th.
