Basketball Recap: Fairfield Gets the Win

Fairfield won the last time they faced Cut Bank, and Deron Lear did his part to make sure it happened again. The Fairfield Eagles were the clear victor by a 64-44 margin over the Cut Bank Wolves on Saturday with plenty of help from Lear, who en route to 22 points in addition to eight rebounds and seven steals. That's the most boards he has posted since back in January.

Bryce Hooper was another key player, putting up four points. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 12 games he's played.

Fairfield's win bumped their record up to 19-1. As for Cut Bank, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Fairfield has already played their next game, a 66-42 victory against Conrad on the 22nd. Cut Bank does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
