Soccer Recap: Orange County Snags Ninth Victory in Last 11 Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Orange County walked away with it. Their defense stepped up to hand the James Wood Colonels a 2-0 shutout on Monday. This was payback for Orange County, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Kayla Ash and Somer Wolfrey scored both of Orange County's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 18 goals.

Orange County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 35 goals over those 11 matchups. As for James Wood, their loss dropped their record down to 12-4-3.

As of now, neither Orange County nor the Colonels have any future games scheduled.
