Football Game Preview: Immaculata-La Salle Royal Lions vs. Dr. Krop Lightning + Official Tickets

The Immaculata-La Salle Royal Lions are taking a road trip to square off against the Dr. Krop Lightning at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Immaculata-La Salle is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Immaculata-La Salle would be wise to avoid a repeat of their last game when they take on Dr. Krop seeing as the team posted more yard in penalties than they did on offense (which somehow didn't cost them the game). The Royal Lions narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Mater Academy Charter 21-18.

One reason for the win was Immaculata-La Salle's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for seven sacks. It was truly a group effort as Raul Alvarez, Daniel Marin, and Phillip Jones Jr picked up two apiece. Alvarez is crushing it when it comes to sacks: he's posted at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Dr. Krop's offense. They had to suffer through a 49-0 loss at the hands of West Broward. While losing is never fun, the Lightning can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 354th, while the Bobcats are ranked 38th).

Immaculata-La Salle's win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Dr. Krop, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-7.

Everything came up roses for Immaculata-La Salle against Dr. Krop in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 35-6 victory. In that game, the Royal Lions amassed a halftime lead of 21-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
