Softball Recap: Timpson Takes Down Hemphill in a Playoff Battle

Timpson had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over the Hemphill Hornets on Thursday. Considering the Bears have won 15 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Timpson is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That somehow still isn't as good as their 19-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for Hemphill, they dropped their record down to 12-17-1 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Timpson will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Hornets: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
