Ashland won the last time they faced Madawaska and things went their way on Friday too. The Hornets blew past the Owls 17-11. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Ashland and bumps their season record up to 8-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.5 runs over those games. As for Madawaska, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Coming up, Ashland will be playing at home against Washburn at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Madawaska, they will head out on the road to face off against Wisdom at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
