Softball Recap: Barlow Has No Trouble Against Cleveland

Barlow got themselves on the board against Cleveland on Wednesday, but Cleveland never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 6-0 victory. Considering the Bruins have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The result came thanks to Kaylee Pokorny 2025's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Barlow saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madilyn Paulsen 2027, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Another was Alyssa McCormick 2028, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Barlow has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Cleveland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-15.

As of now, neither Barlow nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
