Baseball Recap: Mount Everett Regional Beats Monson for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Mount Everett Regional waltzed into their match on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Monson Mustangs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 last Sunday.

Jacob Kreis made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jonny Ireland, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.

Mount Everett Regional's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-7. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Monson, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

As of now, neither Mount Everett Regional nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
