It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Hart ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over the Kent City Eagles. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Hart's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-11-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Kent City, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-19.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hart will face off against Grant at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Pirates' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Kent City, they will square off against Fremont at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
