Recap: Piedmont Panthers vs. West Stanly Colts
There's no place like home for the Piedmont Panthers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They took down West Stanly 60-44 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Piedmont also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
It was another big night for Miles Leaks, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds and four steals. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Graham Blackman, who scored nine points along with four steals.
Piedmont has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for West Stanly, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Piedmont will take on Anson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Anson knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matchups -- so hopefully Piedmont likes a good challenge. As for West Stanly, they will be playing at home against North Stanly at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in North Stanly's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 15 matches.
