Basketball Recap: Kearney's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Truman came into Thursday's matchup looking for another win against Kearney, but Brooke Paalhar wouldn't allow it. The Kearney Bulldogs breezed by the Truman Patriots to the tune of 64-23 on Thursday thanks in part to Paalhar, who went 8 of 19 on her way to 20 points along with eight assists and three steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Kearney moved to 3-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Truman, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-8.

Kearney wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 36-21 loss against St. Teresa's Academy on the 13th. As for Truman, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 68-24 defeat against Platte County on the 13th.
