Softball Recap: Camas Comes Up Short

Camas fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Battle Ground on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 8-7. The Papermakers just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Ellie Wittler was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-5 with two runs. Sophia Chambers was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Camas' defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Battle Ground, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9-1.

Coincidentally, Camas and Battle Ground will both be playing Skyview the next time they take the field. The Papermakers will head out to face the Storm at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Tigers will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
