Baseball Game Preview: Temple City Rams vs. South El Monte Eagles

The Temple City Rams will head out on the road to face off against the South El Monte Eagles at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Monday, Temple City earned a 7-3 win over Polytechnic.

Meanwhile, South El Monte got themselves on the board against West Covina on Saturday, but West Covina never followed suit. They came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 2-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).

Not much got past Ryan Leon, who gave up just three hits to keep West Covina off the board. Furthermore, Leon didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024.

At the plate, South El Monte saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emiliano Gonzalez, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Temple City's record now sits at 2-4-1. As for South El Monte, their record now sits at 3-1.

Temple City skirted past South El Monte 3-1 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Does Temple City have another victory up their sleeve, or will South El Monte turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
