Basketball Recap: Bell's Losing Streak Snapped at Eight Games

Bell can bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They blew past the St. John Lutheran Saints 56-30. The score was all tied up 15-15 at the break, but the Bulldogs were the (much) better team in the second half.

Several Saints players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Joel Durran, who posted 14 points. Lebraun Russell was another key player, putting up nine points.

Bell's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-13. As for St. John Lutheran, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Bell didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 34-24 loss against Lafayette on the 17th. St. John Lutheran has also already played their next matchup, a 77-27 defeat against Meadowbrook Academy on the 17th.
