Basketball Recap: Pillow Academy Falls Short of East Rankin Academy in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Pillow Academy can now relate to. They took a 67-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the East Rankin Academy Patriots on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Patriots are ranked fourth).

Pillow Academy's loss dropped their record down to 21-8. As for East Rankin Academy, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 35-2.

Pillow Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Rankin Academy, they and Parklane Academy will face off at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played.
