Basketball Recap: Louisa County Takes a Loss

Louisa County lost against Albemarle back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Louisa County Lions were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 56-55 to the Albemarle Patriots. The Lions were up 37-23 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Louisa County lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Peyton Brady, who posted 14 points and six rebounds. Brady is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Taylor Yeatts, who had 11 points and seven boards.

Louisa County's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-6. As for Albemarle, they moved to 7-10 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Louisa County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 48-35 loss against J.R. Tucker on the 29th. As for Albemarle, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 50-48 defeat against Orange County on the 31st.
