Soccer Game Preview: Wharton vs. Wiregrass Ranch

The Wharton Wildcats will face off against the Wiregrass Ranch Bulls at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Wharton saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell 3-1 to Steinbrenner. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Wharton's goal came courtesy of Sydney Steinberg, who's now up to 16 this season.

Meanwhile, Wiregrass Ranch didn't have quite enough to beat Santa Fe Catholic on Friday and fell 2-1.

Wharton's loss dropped their record down to 10-4-2. As for Wiregrass Ranch, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7-3.

Wharton skirted past Wiregrass Ranch 1-0 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Will Wharton repeat their success, or does Wiregrass Ranch have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
