Soccer Recap: Gadsden Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Centennial

Gadsden faced Centennial in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Panthers lost 4-1 to the Hawks. Gadsden were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Centennial apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Gadsden's goal came courtesy of Sandra Camara, who's now up to 16 this season.

Gadsden's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Centennial, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Gadsden is set to challenge their familiar foe Mayfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Centennial will face off against rival Organ Mountain at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
