Basketball Recap: Cut Bank Skates Past Valier with Ease

Cut Bank's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They really took it to the Valier Panthers for the full four quarters, racking up a 65-19 win. With the Wolves ahead 41-13 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Leading Cut Bank to victory were Burke Lowery and Greg Coy. Lowery went 6 for 7 en route to 17 points in addition to six boards and four steals, while Coy almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. Chris Amesbury was another key player, putting up six points.

Cut Bank's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Valier, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cut Bank and Choteau will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Valier, they will take on Heart Butte at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
