Softball Preview: Fowlerville Gladiators vs. Lake Fenton Blue Devils        
        
		
            The Fowlerville Gladiators will venture away from home to  face off against the Lake Fenton Blue Devils  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Both come into the  match bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Fowlerville took a loss when they played away from home  on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Tuesday. They came out on top against St. Johns by a score of  9-6.

Fowlerville let  Tommi Kleinschmidt and  Kiely Davis run wild. Kleinschmidt  went a perfect 4-for-4 with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double, while  Davis  went a perfect 4-for-4 with three  RBI and two  runs. Those  four  hits gave  Davis a new career-high.  Avery Borg also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  triple of the season.
 Fowlerville was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .517. That's the best  batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Lake Fenton faced Goodrich in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Blue Devils skirted past the Martians  8-7.
 Lake Fenton got a  massive  performance out of  Parker Beardsley (Mott Community Coll, who  went 2-for-5 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. Another player making a difference was  Laureena Baehl (2027), who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.
 Fowlerville is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Lake Fenton, their record now sits at 15-3.
 Thursday's   game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Fowlerville hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .333. However, it's not like Lake Fenton struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .348. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
