The Anacoco Indians will challenge the Stanley Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Anacoco will be strutting in after a victory while Stanley will be coming in after a loss.
Anacoco had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Merryville on Saturday. The Indians were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Panthers. Considering the Indians have won nine matchups by more than nine runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Anacoco let Drew Patin and Henry Shealy run wild. Patin went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Shealy went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave Shealy a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Luke Thompson, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two RBI.
Anacoco was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Merryville only posted a batting average of .167.
Meanwhile, Stanley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-8 heartbreaker at the hands of Ebarb.
Casen Paddie made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Wes Wallace, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.
Anacoco has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Stanley, their loss dropped their record down to 21-9.
Monday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Anacoco has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .459. However, it's not like Stanley struggles in that department as they've averaged .462. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Anacoco was able to grind out a solid victory over Stanley in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, winning 5-1. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
