Pace had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.4 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They put the hurt on the Tate Aggies with a sharp 30-8 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Patriots' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while the Aggies are ranked 110th).

Special teams was a major factor in the game for Pace, racking up 12 points in total. All came from Caleb Nelson: he went 3-for-3 kicking field goals for nine points, and 3-for-3 again kicking extra points for an additional three.

Pace's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Tate, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Pace will head out to challenge Pine Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tate, they will venture away from home to square off against Booker T. Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Tanner Clark and Da'Sean Bohanan.
