Baseball Recap: Antietam Comes Up Short

Antietam was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 16-1 to the Kutztown Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in April.

Antietam's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Kutztown, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-6.

Coming up, Antietam will take on Conestoga Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Mountaineers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 9.5 runs per game this season. As for Kutztown, they are taking a road trip to take on Blue Mountain at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cougars 2.8, the Eagles 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
