Basketball Recap: Pea Ridge Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Pea Ridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They took down the Westville Yellowjackets 50-33 on Friday. Given the Blackhawks' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 130th in Arkansas, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 411th in Oklahoma), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win got Pea Ridge back to even at 8-8. As for Westville, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pea Ridge will challenge Green Forest at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pea Ridge is facing Green Forest at the right time seeing as Green Forest is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Westville, they are taking a road trip to square off against Jay at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
