Soccer Recap: Springfield Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Springfield had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Their defense stepped up to hand the Upper Merion Area Vikings a 6-0 shutout on Tuesday.

This is the second loss in a row for Upper Merion Area and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springfield will square off against Archbishop Carroll at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. As for Upper Merion Area, they will face off against Harriton at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
