Basketball Recap: Payson Comes Up Short

Payson's tournament run continued when they took on Sunnyside on Friday. The Payson Longhorns took a hard 64-47 fall against the Sunnyside Blue Devils.

Payson now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Sunnyside, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season.

Payson will venture away from home to square off against San Tan Foothills at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sunnyside, they will take on Ironwood Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sunnyside knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Ironwood Ridge likes a good challenge.
