Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Nicole Kauffman and Kelsey Joshua Lead Oakleaf to Victory + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Middleburg, Oakleaf was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Nease Panthers. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Oakleaf had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 15-25, 25-23, 25-17, 25-22.

Oakleaf was led to victory by Kelsey Joshua and Nicole Kauffman. Joshua had 21 digs and one assist, while Kauffman had seven digs and three aces. That's the most digs Joshua has posted since back in October of 2024. Abigail Capuzzo also deserves some recognition as she had her first kills of the season.

Oakleaf's record is now 6-7. As for Nease, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Coming up, Oakleaf will take on Baker County at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Nease, they are taking a road trip to face off against Tocoi Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
