Basketball Game Preview: John Champe Knights vs. Loudoun County Captains

The John Champe Knights will head out on the road to square off against the Loudoun County Captains at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Monday, John Champe ended up a good deal behind Broad Run and lost 66-50. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, Loudoun County was beaten by Broad Run 69-41 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Captains can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 241st, while the Spartans are ranked 74th).

John Champe's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Loudoun County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-10.

John Champe couldn't quite finish off Loudoun County in their previous matchup two weeks ago and fell 44-41. Can John Champe avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
