Volleyball Recap: Willow Takes a Loss

The Willow Lions didn't have quite enough to beat the St. Charles Catholic Comets on Thursday and fell 3-2.

Willow took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-14, 27-29, 20-25, 25-23, 15-9.

Elena Pardo paced Willow's offense, picking up 11 kills. Pardo got some help from Haviva A and her 23 assists. Chloe West controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Willow's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for St. Charles Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 9-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Willow will venture away from home to face off against Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Charles Catholic, they will head out to square off against St. James at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give the Comets their first taste of in-conference action this season.
