Basketball Recap: Taylorville Comes Up Short

Taylorville suffered their biggest defeat since February 10, 2024 on Tuesday. They were dealt a 67-27 loss at the hands of the Mt. Zion Braves. The defeat continues a trend for the Tornadoes in their matchups with the Braves: they've now lost six in a row.

Taylorville now has a losing record at 12-13. As for Mt. Zion, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Taylorville will host Pana at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mt. Zion, they will be playing at home against Sacred Heart-Griffin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
