Softball Recap: La Grande Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

La Grande put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Vale Vikings as La Grande made off with a 10-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won four matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Marti Anderson, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Maddie Seavert was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

La Grande's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Vale, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. La Grande will head out to take on Gladstone at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Vale, they will venture away from home to challenge Grant Union at 4:00 p.m. on April 3.
