Softball Recap: Plano West Wolves vs. Hebron Hawks
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Plano West had no problem doing just that on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Hebron Hawks. This was a revenge match for Plano West, as the team was forced to settle for a 2-1 loss when these two played last Thursday.
Plano West got a great performance from MC Pollacia as she didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Pollacia has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive pitching appearances.
At the plate, Kaaya Mehta was incredible, going 2-for-2 with a home run and three RBI.
On Hebron's side, they saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lilly Pirrello, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and a double.
