Basketball Recap: Herscher Takes a Loss

Herscher lost against Peotone back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Herscher Tigers took a 59-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Peotone Blue Devils. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Herscher still got an impressive performance from Jacob Mccree, who went 7 of 11 en route to 16 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Payten Young, who posted eight points.

Herscher's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Peotone, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-11.

Herscher will face off against Streator at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Streator will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Herscher surely won't give up without a fight. As for Peotone, they will welcome Coal City at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
