Softball Recap: Christopher Cougars vs. Lincoln Lions        
        
		
            
 After flying high against Oak Grove  last Tuesday, Christopher came back down to earth. The Christopher Cougars took  a  4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lincoln Lions on Thursday.
 Christopher got a good showing from  Danielle Keller, who   tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off   five  hits.
 At the plate, Christopher saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Melissa Lugo, who  went 1-for-4 with a  triple and a  run.
 On Lincoln's side,  the team  relied heavily on  Serenity Hernandez, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Jaylynn Perez, who  got on base  in all three of her plate appearances with a  double.
 Christopher's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Lincoln, the  victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
 Christopher will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Carmel at 4:00  p.m. Carmel will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  win, something Christopher surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lincoln, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Prospect at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Lincoln is facing Prospect at the right time seeing as Prospect is stuck on  an  eight-game losing streak.
