While Glenns Ferry put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Garden Valley. The Pilots were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Wolverines. The Pilots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.
Junior Sanchez was a major factor no matter where he played. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 15 over six innings pitched. He has become a key player for Glenns Ferry: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least eight strikeouts, but 8-11 otherwise. Sanchez was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases, one run, and one double. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Bryce Sterling was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played.
