Basketball Game Preview: San Diego Jewish Academy Lions vs. Orange Glen Patriots

The San Diego Jewish Academy Lions will face off against the Orange Glen Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in San Diego Jewish Academy's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Orange Glen has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

Last Thursday, San Diego Jewish Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 62-58 to Foothills Christian.

Despite the defeat, San Diego Jewish Academy got top-tier performance from Jack Silberstein, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten boards. Adam Tal was another key player, putting up 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Even though they lost, San Diego Jewish Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Orange Glen played a tough match on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Rock Academy, falling 73-47. The Patriots were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-21.

San Diego Jewish Academy's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-12. As for Orange Glen, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-23.
