Basketball Recap: Carlisle Comes Up Short

Carlisle lost against Troup last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Carlisle Indians had to suffer through a 62-31 loss at the hands of the Troup Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1453rd, while the Tigers are ranked 322nd).

Carlisle is on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11. As for Troup, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.

Carlisle and Cumberland Academy will face off at 12:40 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Carlisle is facing Cumberland Academy at the right time seeing as Cumberland Academy is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Troup, they are taking a road trip to square off against Arp at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
