Softball Recap: Independence Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Independence couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the King City Mustangs on Tuesday, falling 16-0. The 76ers were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the six contests prior), but the Mustangs' pitcher proved too tough.

With the defeat, Independence broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-5. As for King City, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-11.
