Tooele has gone a perfect 6-0 against Cottonwood recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Tooele Buffaloes will look to defend their home field against the Cottonwood Colts at 3:30 p.m. Cottonwood took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Tooele, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with six defeats in a row dating back to last season, Tooele turned things around against Olympus on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Titans, sneaking past 6-5. The Buffaloes' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Kenni Molgard spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on six hits. Those hits marked the first that she allowed this season.

At the plate, Hunter Culley was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaydence Pacheco, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, Cottonwood lost 24-5 to Stansbury on Wednesday. The Colts have struggled against the Stallions recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meetings.

Cottonwood now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Tooele, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Tooele took their victory against Cottonwood in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 15-0. Does Tooele have another victory up their sleeve, or will Cottonwood turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
