Volleyball Recap: Peyton Comes Up Short

Peyton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Cedaredge Bruins, falling 3-0. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bruins from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Samantha Nickell paced Peyton's offense, picking up seven kills. Nickell got some help from Brynlee Rizzuto and her six assists.

Cedaredge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zea Robidoux, who had seven kills and four aces. Those four aces gave Robidoux a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Maya Cerise, who had 28 assists and four digs.

Peyton's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Cedaredge, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Peyton has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Gilpin County on the 30th. As for Cedaredge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against West Grand on the 29th.
