Basketball Recap: North Port Comes Up Short

North Port lost against Imagine School at North Port two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The North Port Bobcats fell 65-58 to the Imagine School at North Port Sharks.

Imagine School at North Port's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zahmir Jackson, who went 8 of 18 en route to 21 points. Brennen Taft was another key player, going 6 for 9 on his way to 15 points and five assists.

North Port has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.4 points per game. As for Imagine School at North Port, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-9.
