Whitehorse is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Monument Valley, who was ranked ninth in their home state at the time (Whitehorse was ranked sixth). Whitehorse blew past Monument Valley, posting a 60-14 victory.

Meanwhile, Water Canyon entered their tilt with Utah Military Academy - Hill Field last Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They claimed a resounding 72-12 win over the Thunderbirds. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 46-12.

Daniel Cox and Isaiah Barlow were among the main playmakers for Water Canyon as the former rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown and the latter rushed for 66 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. The dominant performance gave Cox a new career-high in rushing yards.

Water Canyon wouldn't let Utah Military Academy - Hill Field keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force four fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Rockwell Barlow, Zach Keate, Rylan Barlow, and Domanik La Corti picked up one apiece. Rylan also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because Water Canyon is 3-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 2-4 otherwise.

Water Canyon was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 333 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their rushing yard total in six consecutive games.

Whitehorse now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Water Canyon, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
