Basketball Recap: Linsly Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Linsly lost against Wheeling Central Catholic two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Linsly Cadets fell to the Wheeling Central Catholic Maroon Knights 73-68. The Cadets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Linsly's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-8. As for Wheeling Central Catholic, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Linsly will face off against Archbishop Alter at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Wheeling Central Catholic, they are taking a road trip to take on Charleston Catholic at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Wheeling Central Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Charleston Catholic likes a good challenge.
