The Attica Red Ramblers will head out on the road to face off against the Fountain Central Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fountain Central took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Attica, who comes in off a win.
Attica is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against North White on Monday as they made off with a 20-6 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Red Ramblers.

Anni Reynolds made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kenzie Goff, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Naveen Hill, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Attica always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .520 or higher in five consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Fountain Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 13-1 to Covington.
Fountain Central saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Oliviah Jones, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.
The victory was their first on the road, bumping their record up to 3-11. As for Fountain Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.
Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Attica hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .371. However, it's not like Fountain Central struggles in that department as they've averaged .321. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Attica beat Fountain Central 10-7 in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Ramblers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
