While New Caney didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-27), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They had just enough and edged out the Spring Lions 2-1 on Thursday. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 win the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2017.

New Caney's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Spring, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

New Caney wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Barbers Hill on the 22nd. As for Spring, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Tomball on the 21st.
