Football Recap: Madera South Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Madera South's offense. They fell 8-0 to the Golden Valley Cougars on Tuesday. The defeat leaves the Stallions still looking for their first win of the season.

Madera South's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Golden Valley, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3.

Looking ahead, Madera South will head out to square off against El Capitan at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Gauchos' defense has only allowed 7.5 points per game this season, so the Stallions' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Golden Valley, they will be playing at home against Mariposa County at 7:00 p.m. on September 3.
